History and Background
The Horizons Albuquerque program began in the summer of 2014 at Bosque School, welcoming 46 students entering 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. In 2017, our program expanded to include Manzano Day School, and again in 2019 with the addition of Sandia Preparatory School (Sandia Prep). Today, our students complete grades K-5 at Manzano Day School, grades 6-8 at Bosque School, and grades 9-11 at Sandia Prep. The program will add a grade level each subsequent year until the program serves kindergarten to 12th grade.
In summer 2022, Horizons Albuquerque served 180 students from kindergarten to rising 12th grade. In May, 2023 our first class of Horizons Albuquerque students will graduate from High School. Once a student is enrolled in Horizons, they may return each year without reapplying, provided they are meeting program requirements.
