High School Program

Horizons’ high school work-based learning initiative provides hands-on skill development, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world contexts, encounter authentic workplace challenges, helping them understand job responsibilities and workplace expectations, and develop professional skills. High school juniors and seniors participate in community work-based learning opportunities in their selected field of interest, preparing them for post-secondary education and career readiness. We aim for students to complete high school prepared to pursue post-secondary education or a chosen career path.
